Watched the ring,
Laying on the floor,
And heart cried in pain ....
Turned around,
Looked at the empty room,
And nobody to hold and kiss .....
The winter moon,
Mocked at me, through the
Dangling rays on the window pane .....
The coffee was cold,
Stiffed in the pot,
And the mouth turned dry .....
I stare at the sheet,
Caught in tangled heat,
And the heart becomes cold ......
Memories flashed,
Like a lightning spark,
And burned everything down .....
I pick up the ring,
And feel her touch,
Only to wonder why ?
