A kiss on their lips

A kiss on their lips,
Was bliss for the thirsty mouth.
Hugging close and tight,
With the black clouds heading south.

Their hearts beat fast,
Louder than the roaring thunder.
Deep within awoke,
Emotions from the long slumber.

Tongues entagled,
Soaring high in their prime.
Like a rudderless ship,
They drifted in time.

The lips pressed, afraid
Where the night goin' to lead.
Tears swelled in the eyes,
And the hearts began to bleed.

Days had passed to months,
And the moment had come to say bye.
Sad that the sweet innocent kiss,
Had left their hearts dry .....
